ALONE

I am alone,

Alone in the utmost sense

There is no one to answer my screams for help

or who understands how i feel

No one to tell me its ok, even when its not

But it is my fault

I pushed everybody away

Did I really want to?

or am I afraid

Afraid of something, afraid of failure

Failure to make everyone happy,

failure to live up to everyone’s expectations of me

There is one left,

I have my family but its not the same

There’s a comfort you get from having people care who aren’t related

a friend,

a lover,

a soulmate

I never wanted to hurt anyone

But I’m selfish

I think of only myself

But not because I just don’t care how others feel,

but because I have to think of myself

There is no one who truly understand what i endure within myself daily

Day in and day out i force myself to smile in hopes that the pain goes away

Pain that i do not speak of,

pain i barely even know is there

It is always subcounciosly there, eating at my mind and soul until i notice it

So I have to think of myself

I have to protect my feelings

Who will if i don’t?

But this is why I am alone

Sad

Scared

Scared that i will forever end up alone

Scared that I’ll never find someone who really understands me

Scared there is no me left to give

I just want a connection with somone

A connection that is too strong to ignore

Am I even capable of that?

Why do I second guess myself?

I doubt that I have what it takes,

I doubt that my judgement is even worth understanding

People say actions speak louder than words

Well right now my words are crying out , they are my actions

I would say my words are pretty fucking LOUD

The feeling I get from letting this all out is a feeling of relieve,

kinda how i would imagine the Earth feels after it has rained

Like the impurities in the air have been swept away by the tears of God

That’s how I feel, like my tears are slowly sweeping the impurities away

Like I can finally breath a little easier knowing I haven’t failed at one thing

I haven’t failed myself,

I am still alone

I’m still sad

I am still scared

But I am still me
